Ben Bernstein has taught music from the elementary school level to the college level. He is currently the Director of Orchestras at Charles J. Colgan High School in Manassas, VA which holds the Center for the Performing Arts specialty programs. He received his bachelor’s degree in music education from James Madison University and his master’s degree in music composition from the Catholic University of America in Washington D.C. Mr. Bernstein’s has been commissioned by Manassas Symphony Orchestra, Old Bridge Chamber Orchestra as well as several middle and high schools. His orchestral works have been premiered at the Atlas Performing Arts Center, James Madison University and The Hylton Center for the Performing Arts.
