Emil Cheytanov is the featured violin soloist for Seriously Fun, the Manassas Symphony's Concert on March 2, 2024. He is playing Three Pieces from Schindler's List by John Williams.
Emil Cheytanov received his Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees in Violin Performance from the National Academy of Music “Prof. Pancho Vladigerov,” located in his native Bulgaria, in 1987. He has been teaching for over 20 years in Bulgaria, Portugal, Czechoslovakia, and the US.
Mr. Cheytanov’s international career includes performances with a variety of chamber ensembles and orchestras in numerous countries: Bulgaria, Portugal, Spain, France, Denmark, Germany, Czech Republic, and Italy. He took part in the Portuguese National Symphony Orchestra in Lisbon, Portugal; State Symphony Orchestra in Bulgaria; State Symphony Orchestra in Pilzen, Czechoslovakia (now Czech Republic); and was Concertmaster of the Prince William Symphony Orchestra.
Currently, Mr. Cheytanov is the concertmaster of the Manassas Symphony Orchestra. Since 2001, he has taught strings in the Prince William County Schools.
